Guidelines

Please make yourself familiar with these guidelines before sharing your story. This section of the web site is a supportive and anonymous place for people affected by problem gambling to share their stories, journeys, experiences and messages of hope. Sharing your story may help you and others in the community to gain strength in each other’s stories and know that you’re not alone. We hope sharing your story may help to reduce the stigma and shame associated with problem gambling.

We reserve the right to not publish a story if it doesn’t meet these guidelines.

Privacy

You may remain anonymous. You may use your first name, or make up a user name.

You may use your real or full name if you wish however, if you wish to protect your privacy please don’t include enough detail in your story that identifies you.

We will not share your email address or publish it on our site. We have asked for your email address in case we need to contact you, for example, in the event you have not followed these guidelines and we need to let you know, or if you have requested more information we will be able to provide information or assistance. 

This web site does not collect information that can identify individuals that visit the site. For more information please read our privacy statement.

Be respectful

Please remember that the internet is public and anyone can view your story. Please be respectful and appropriate.

We will not tolerate any swearing, insults, lying, inappropriate or negative comments, threats or vulgarity.

Being respectful means no libel or slander of any person, business or organisation.
