Get help and supportYour experience and ideas will help the Office for Problem Gambling (OPG) understand how we might inform, support and partner with the community to tackle gambling harm.
What you'd be doing:
We'll have a relaxed chat for up to 2-3 hours in a group of 6 or so people. There will be snacks and hot drinks available and we'll provide a $60 supermarket voucher to say thank you for sharing your experience, knowledge and ideas.
About us:
The Australian Centre for Social Innovation (TACSI) is working in partnership with the OPG and will be hosting the small group chats. TACSI is a non-government, non-religious, not-for-profit organisation that works with communities to design for better outcomes.
What you might talk about:
In the chat we might ask you about how you first knew you wanted to change your gambling and how you got help that worked for you. We'd be grateful to hear what you think could make things better for people going through a similar experience in the future. You only need to share what you feel comfortable sharing.
Your information:
The OPG will only use personal contact details to communicate with you about the conversation and will delete these details after all the events are over. What you share in the conversation will remain anonymous and kept safe by TACSI. Sharing your story with us won’t affect any services you receive.
There will be a gambling harm service provider available if you’d like to get support during or after chatting.
